One of the finest strategic holes ever built, the 551-yard seventh hole at Desert Forest forces players to make a decision on the tee. A 265-yard carry to the far cut of fairway up the right side of the hole puts players in prime position to attack this par-5 in two. A more conservative line up the left side of the fairway will ensure safety, but will surely make the hole a 3-shotter. A wash running diagonally across the fairway forces players to make another decision; lay up short and leave yourself 150+ yards into the green, or play it over the wash to try to leave a wedge shot in.
